KARAN JOHAR FINALISES 5-FILM DEAL WITH LYCA PRODUCTIONS | 11 December, 2020

Although neither party is willing to confirm or deny the news, Dharma Productions has reportedly finalised a multi-film deal with Lyca Productions. The two banners will jointly produce five films, it is learnt.

Fox Star Studios had presented the last several films produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. With Fox having been taken over by Disney, and with Disney reportedly not being keen to produce or present Bollywood films, Dharma was on the lookout for a solid partner and seems to have found one in Lyca.

Lyca is owned by Subaskaran Allirajah who had produced Tamil film 2.0, among others. 2.0 was dubbed in Hindi. It is learnt that Lyca has plans to enter Bollywood with a bang now. Producer Mahaveer Jain, who has come on board as partner with Lyca Productions, and CEO Aashish Singh have reportedly been instrumental in setting up Lyca in Bollywood.
