‘KAYA PALAT’ REVIEW | 22 November, 2024

Released last week in East Punjab, Raj Kushwaha Film Studios’ Kaya Palat (UA) is the story of two men and a woman. The lady has a past which she finds difficult to shake off and yet, she is ready to face it all.

Rahat Shah Kazmi and Shoib Nikash Shah have penned a story and screenplay, which offer no novelty. The duo’s dialogues are routine.

Performances of the actors are ordinary. Tariq Khan, Rahat Shah Kazmi, Helly Shah and Mir Sarwar don’t impress much.

Shoib Nikash Shah’s direction is dull. Tuhin K. Biswas’ music is not of the popular variety. Laxmi Chand’s camerawork is below the mark. Rakesh Dogra’s art direction hardly deserves mention. Editing (Shoib Nikash Shah and Shubham Dixit) is loose.

On the whole, Kaya Palat is a flop show.
