Noted Kannada film producer and distributor KCN Chandrashekar passed away on 13th June at a private hospital in Bangalore due to prolonged illnesses. He was 69. He had produced over 50 films including Babruvahana, Huliya Haalina Mevu, Bhakta Gnanadeva, Dharmayuddha and Thaayi.
KCN Chandrashekar had served as president of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) and also of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC). Paying his tribute to the producer-distributor, Karnataka chief minister B.S. Yediyurappa said, in his death, the Kannada film industry had lost a great filmmaker.
