Fair-skinned and hazel-eyed Kiann Vashodia comes across as a young boy raring to go. All of 5 ft. and 9 in., he may strike you as a greenhorn when you meet him but that’s because of his shy disposition. Otherwise, he is not new to films. Of course, with his dad having been in the thick of things in the Hindi film industry, Kiann has grown up in what we say, a filmi atmosphere. But that’s not all! Besides acting in a Hollywood film, Kiann has also worked as assistant director in three films. He was assistant to Hema Malini in Tell Me O Khhuda, and to Rakesh Roshan in Krrish 3. Besides the two Bollywood films, his name will also adorn the credit titles of the yet-to-release Hollywood film, The Collaborator in which he will be introduced on the big screen.
Talking about his experience in The Collaborator, Kiann recalls the selection and audition process for the role he finally bagged. His joy knew no bounds when he was also asked to double up as an assistant to director Travis Hodgkins. Kiann plays a subedar in the film which co-stars Rudi Dharmalingam, Nitin Ganatra, Mayur Puri, George Lasha, Rashaana Shah, Meera Ganatra, Vikram Kapadia, Reiss Kershi, Jordy Cass, Madhura Gokarn, Shamail Ali, Irakli Chkhikvadze, Nikhil Singh Rai, Anastasia Jairath, Akash Doshi and Serdar Altan. The film is based in Kashmir.
And while Kiann awaits the release of his maiden film in India, he hits the gym daily to further tone his already well-toned body and to work on his physique. The young actor is also busy giving auditions for Hindi films. With his good looks and small body of work, it shouldn’t be long before he becomes a sought-after actor on the Hindi screen!
