‘BHOLAA’ REMAINS FILM WITH SECTIONAL APPEAL

Bholaa opened to poor houses on the first day (Thursday, March 30; Ram Navmi partial holiday) but collections picked up as the day progressed. Masses and men are patronising the film but the support of ladies and family audience is on the lower side, making it a film with sectional appeal. It netted Rs. 10.20 crore on the first day. Collections dropped around 35-40% on Friday (second day).

Dasara (dubbed) could not do anything substantial on the first day (Thursday, March 30).

Bheed proves a resounding flop. It collected so poorly that it couldn’t manage to even touch Rs. 50 lakh on any single day of the first week. The week closed at below Rs. 2 crore!

Operation Mayfair fared miserably in 1st week.

Sanskari Bahurani bombed in its first week.

John Wick: Chapter 4 (dubbed and the original English versions) did well in the first week. The film netted Rs. 2.50 crore in paid previews on the first day (Thursday). Collections jumped to Rs. 5.66 crore on Friday, and further to Rs. 8.25 crore on Saturday. The total on Sunday was slightly lower at Rs. 7.86 crore. After a 4-day weekend total of Rs. 24.27 crore, collections on the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 2.48 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.14 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 2.11 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.09 crore. The total for the weekdays, therefore, was Rs. 7.82 crore. In this way, the total for the first week (8 days) was Rs. 32.09 crore.

Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway collected Rs. 6.15 crore in its 2nd week, taking its two-week total to Rs. 16.66 crore.

Shazam! Fury Of The Gods (dubbed and the original English versions) dropped more than 80% in 2nd week. It netted Rs. 1.50 crore in the second weekend, and another Rs. 0.55 crore during the weekdays. Therefore, its total for 2nd week was Rs. 2.05 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 13.43 crore.

 

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar started its third weekend with a take of Rs. 1.80 crore on Friday. Collections increased to Rs. 3.40 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 4.02 crore on Sunday. After a total of Rs. 9.22 crore in the third weekend, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 1.30 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.06 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.08 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.70 crore. Therefore, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 4.14 crore. In this way, the total for the third week was Rs. 13.36 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 121.96 crore.

Phulrani (Marathi) performed poorly in 1st week all over Maharashtra.

Ratricha Paus (Marathi) proved a debacle in the first week all over Maharashtra.
