Mere Husband Ki Biwi fared miserably in the first week. It netted only Rs. 4 crore in the first weekend, and an additional Rs. 2.60 crore during the weekdays. In this way, the total for the first week was Rs. 6.60 crore.

Kuch Sapney Apne performed poorly in the first week.

Chhaava continued to roar at the ticket windows in 2nd week too. At many places, the second week’s collections were almost as good as the first week’s! It netted Rs. 12.50 crore on the first day of 2nd week. Collections almost doubled on Saturday which closed at Rs. 22.50 crore. The total for Sunday was Rs. 19.50 crore. In this way, the total for the second weekend was Rs. 54.50 crore. Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 10 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 10 crore, Wednesday (Maha Shivratri holiday) – Rs.13.50 crore, Thursday – Rs. 8.50 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 42 crore. In this way, the total for 2nd week was a whopping Rs. 96.50 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 224 crore. If one were to consider the block bookings and free distribution of tickets, the inflated figure for the second week was Rs. 155 crore. Hence the total for 2 weeks (after considering the block bookings) was Rs. 359 crore.

Captain America: Brave New World (dubbed and the original English versions) dropped dramatically and did very ordinary business in 2nd week. It collected Rs. 2 crore in the second weekend, and an additional Rs. 1.20 crore during the weekdays. Hence the total for 2nd week was Rs. 3.20 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 18.45 crore.
