‘UUNCHAI’ TAKES SLOW START IN LIMITED RELEASE, ‘BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER’ OPENS WELL

Rajshri’s UUNCHAI opened yesterday (November 11) to dull houses in spite of a very limited release, and ended up netting Rs. 1.81 crore on the first day. On the other hand, Hollywood’s BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER opened to decent houses, especially the original English version, that too, in good multiplexes. Collections of UUNCHAI are picking up today (Saturday).

Phone Bhoot could not do well in the first week.

Mili met with a disastrous fate at the ticket windows in 1st week all over.

Double XL bombed miserably in the first week all over India.

Dhoop Chhaon struggled to complete even a week’s run in the cinemas.

Ramrajya failed to do anything worthwhile in its first week.

Banaras (dubbed) fared terribly in 1st week all over.

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile (dubbed and original English versions) could not do anything substantial in its first week.

Ram Setu dropped markedly in 3rd week, netting Rs. 6.50 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 70.13 crore.

Thank God was on its last lap in the third week. It managed to add only Rs. 1.86 crore to its kitty in 3rd week. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 31.46 crore.

Black Adam (dubbed and original English versions) dropped even more in its 3rd week than in the second week. It collected Rs. 2.70 crore in the third weekend and another Rs. 1.35 crore during the weekdays. Total for 3rd week: Rs. 4.05 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 47.38 crore.

Kantara (dubbed) continued its victory march in the fourth week too. It started the fourth weekend with a take of Rs. 2.11 crore collectively for the Hindi dubbed version and the original Kannada version, in North India. Collections on Saturday increased to Rs. 3.77 crore, and further on Sunday (Rs. 4.81 crore). Therefore, the total for the fourth weekend was Rs. 10.69 crore. Collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 2.04 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.75 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.36 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.17 crore. Hence the total for the weekdays was Rs. 7.32 crore. Total for 4th week: Rs. 18.01 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 71.60 crore.

Mann Kasturi Re (Marathi) faced rejection in the first week all over Maharashtra.

36 Gunn (Marathi) was a washout in 1st week all over Maharashtra.

Palyad (Marathi) was a debacle in the first week everywhere in Maharashtra.
