War 2 took a start that was far below expectations on Thursday (August 14). The Hindi version netted around Rs. 29 crore only while the South dubbed versions collected Rs. 25 crore. The totals for Friday (Independence Day national holiday) were Rs. 46 crore (Hindi version) and Rs. 15 crore (South versions).
Coolie The Powerhouse (dubbed) also took an opening that was much lower than expectations. The Hindi dubbed version netted barely Rs. 4.75 crore on Thursday (August 14). Of course, the opening down South was excellent. The total for the Hindi dubbed version on Friday (Independence Day national holiday) was Rs. 6.25 crore.
Andaaz 2 turned out to be a non-starter in the first week.
Zora faced rejection in 1st week all over.
Udaipur Files: Kanhaiya Lal Tailor Murder could not do anything worthwhile in its first week in spite of the controversy over its certification (censorship).

Son Of Sardaar 2 crashed even more in the second week. It netted Rs. 7.50 crore in the second weekend, and another Rs. 3 crore during the weekdays. Therefore, with a total of Rs.10.50 crore in 2nd week, its grand total for 2 weeks was Rs. 42 crore.
Dhadak 2 was unimpressive in 2nd week. It netted only Rs. 4.50 crore in 2nd week, taking its grand total for 2 weeks to Rs. 21.97 crore.
Mahavatar Narsimha (animation, Hindi and South languages) continued its victory march in the third week also. The third weekend started with a net collection of Rs. 7.71 crore on Friday. Collections almost trebled on Saturday which closed at Rs. 21.10 crore. The total for Sunday was Rs. 23.33 crore. Therefore, the total for the third weekend was a monumental Rs. 52.14 crore. Collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 5.07 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 5.73 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 4.27 crore, Thursday – Rs. 2.29 crore. With the total for the weekdays being an astounding Rs. 17.36 crore, the third week closed at Rs. 69.50 crore. Grand total for 3 weeks: Rs. 185.56 crore.
The Fantastic 4: First Steps (dubbed and the original English versions) could not do much in the third week. It collected only Rs. 2.50 crore in 3rd week, thereby taking its grand total for 3 weeks to Rs. 34 crore.
Saiyaara did fair business in 4th week. It netted Rs. 2.25 crore on the first day of the fourth weekend. Collections on Saturday and Sunday were Rs. 4 crore and Rs. 4.50 crore respectively.Therefore, the total for 4th weekend was Rs. 10.75 crore. elections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 1.50 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.50 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.30 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.40 crore. With the total for the weekdays being Rs. 4.70 crore, the fourth week closed at Rs. 15.45 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 330.45 crore.
Superman (dubbed and the original English versions) netted only Rs. 0.27 crore in its fifth week. In this way, the grand total for 5 weeks was Rs. 48.78 crore.
Jurassic World: Rebirth (dubbed and the original English versions) just about managed to stay afloat in the sixth week. It was short of the Rs. 100-crore mark by a few lakhs only. It collected Rs. 0.55 crore in the sixth weekend, and another Rs. 0.18 crore during the weekdays. Hence the total for 6th week was Rs. 0.73 crore. Grand total for 6 weeks: Rs. 99.93 crore.
F1: The Movie (dubbed and the original English versions) continued to hold its own in the seventh week, mainly the original English version, of course. It was quite steady in 7th week. It is still about Rs. 4.50 crore away from the Rs. 100-crore club! It started the seventh weekend with a take of Rs. 0.49 crore. Collections on Saturday increased to Rs. 0.95 crore while the total for Sunday was Rs. 0.94 crore. After a seventh weekend total of Rs. 2.38 crore, collections for the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 0.25 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 0.28 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 0.30 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.10 crore. Therefore, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 0.93 crore. In this way, the total for 7th week was Rs. 3.31 crore. Grand total for 7 weeks: Rs. 95.58 crore.
Vaajav Re (Marathi) could not do anything substantive in the first week in Maharashtra.
