All the releases of last week underperformed at the ticket windows as they found limited or very little appreciation.
Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway was liked only by the elite audience and, therefore, did well mainly in the high-end multiplexes in the first week. It netted Rs. 1.27 crore on the opening day. Collections increased to Rs. 2.26 crore on the second day, and to Rs. 2.89 crore on Sunday, taking the weekend total to Rs. 6.42 crore. Collections for the weekdays were: Monday – Rs. 0.91 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 1.09 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 1.27 crore, Thursday – Rs. 0.82 crore. Therefore, the total for the weekdays was Rs. 4.09 crore. In this way, the first week closed at Rs. 10.51 crore.
Zwigato proved to be a damp squib in 1st week. It fared miserably and collected only Rs. 1.50 crore in the first week.
Kabzaa (dubbed) could not do anything worthwhile in its first week. It ended up netting just Rs. 3.25 crore in the first week.
Shubh Nikah turned out to be a resounding flop in 1st week.
Shazam! Fury Of The Gods (dubbed and the original English versions) fared ordinarily in the first week. The net collections for the first week (including paid previews on Thursday) for all the versions was just Rs. 11.38 crore.
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar did fairly well in 2nd week, dropping around 70%. It performed better in its second week than the new releases of last week performed in their first week. The second weekend started with a take of Rs. 3.50 crore on Friday. Collections increased to Rs. 5.13 crore on Saturday, and further to Rs. 6.26 crore on Sunday. In this way, the total for the second weekend was Rs. 14.89 crore. Collections during the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 2.52 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 3.06 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 3.24 crore, Thursday – Rs. 2.07 crore. After a total of Rs. 10.89 crore for the weekdays, the second week’s total went up to Rs. 25.78 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 108.60 crore.
Pathaan netted Rs. 1.77 crore in its eighth week. Of this, it collected Rs. 0.98 crore (Hindi Rs. 0.95 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.03 crore) in the eighth weekend, and another Rs. 0.79 crore (Hindi Rs. 0.75 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.04 crore) during the weekdays. Therefore, the total for 8th week was Rs. 1.77 crore (Hindi Rs. 1.70 crore; dubbed Rs. 0.07 crore). Grand total for 8 weeks: Rs. 542.75 crore (Hindi Rs. 524.10 crore; dubbed Rs. 18.65 crore).
I Prem U (Marathi) could not do much in the first week all over Maharashtra.
