‘EK VILLAIN RETURNS’ REMAINS WEEKEND FARE

Ek Villain Returns did fairly well in the first weekend, after which collections dropped dramatically. The first weekend started with a take of Rs. 6.75 crore. Collections on Saturday were no better, but went up to Rs. 8.50 crore on Sunday. After a weekend total of Rs. 22 crore, collections during the weekdays were as follows: Monday – Rs. 2.90 crore, Tuesday – Rs. 2.65 crore, Wednesday – Rs. 2.30 crore, Thursday – Rs. 1.95 crore. In this way, the total for the weekdays was just Rs. 9.80 crore. Total for the first week: Rs. 31.80 crore. With the second week being of only six days as both the major films due for release next week will hit the screens on Thursday, the spiritual successor of Ek Villain will lose its breath much before it reaches the Rs. 50-crore mark.

Vikrant Rona (dubbed) fared badly in the first week.

Dr. S. The Legend (dubbed) bombed miserably in 1st week.

A Holy Conspiracy (Bengali-English-Hindi) failed to find even a reasonable amount of viewers in the first week.

Shamshera could not even manage average collections in 2nd week. It netted Rs. 1.75 crore in the second weekend and another Rs. 0.75 crore during the weekdays. Total for 2nd week: Rs. 2.50 crore. Grand total for 2 weeks: Rs. 42.95 crore.

Thor: Love And Thunder (dubbed and the original English versions) did average in its fourth week, but it is now very close to the Rs. 100-crore mark. All the versions put together netted Rs. 1.26 crore in the fourth weekend, and another Rs. 0.46 crore during the weekdays. In this way, the total for the fourth week was Rs. 1.72 crore. Grand total for 4 weeks: Rs. 99.44 crore.

Timepass 3 (Marathi) did fairly well in the first week all over Maharashtra.

Raado (Gujarati) recorded fair collections in 2nd week. However, considering its unprecedented cost, it will entail heavy losses to all concerned.
