Vikas Singh, the lawyer of Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, has likened the probe of the Narcotics Control Bureau into the drugs case to a fashion parade, after the NCB has been calling actresses to investigate the likely nexus between Bollywood and the drugs mafia. He said that the CBI probe into the actor’s death had suddenly slowed down. He added that all attention was now focused on drug-related issues.
It may be recalled that Sushant’s father had accused Sushant’s live-in actress-girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, of murdering Sushant or abetting his suicide. He had also accused her of siphoning off Rs. 15 crore from his son. The Supreme Court had handed over the probe into Sushant’s death to the Central Bureau of Investigation after the father filed an FIR in Patna. His lawyer, Vikas Singh, has now expressed disappointment over how the probe was progressing.
