Almost a month after BMC commissioner I.S. Chahal ordered inquiry against unauthorised construction of studios at Madh, Marve, Erangal, Bhati, Malad in Bombay, a 5,000-page confidential report on the same has been submitted to his office. The report covers recent court stays that the unauthorised studios have obtained, among other aspects.
The Bombay high court on October 18 restrained the BMC from taking coercive steps against two film studios — Balaji Tirupati Cinemas and Expressions Studio — operating at Madh Island.
