Released last week in Thane, Delhi-U.P., East Punjab and Nizam, Immaculate Ideal Human Foundation’s Mahalakshmi Path – The Evolution is the story of two sisters, Sheetal Singhania (Kashish Goswami) and Samaira Kapoor (Bhumika Sharma). The two are blessed with prosperous lives. Their personal evolution mirrors the Mahalakshmi path, a journey towards joy, awareness and the true wealth of life.
Aparna Gangopadhyay’s story is philosophical and, therefore, has limited appeal. Kuldeep Sharma’s screenplay is rather dull. Dialogues are average.
Kashish Goswami is okay as Sheetal. Bhumika Sharma is alright as Samaira. Veenaya Dongre does an average job as Mallika. Aditya Kothari is so-so in the role of Arvind Singhania. Nishant Prashar passes muster as Navneet Kapoor. Pratham Ghatkal is average as Rohit Kapoor. Raj Zutshi has his moments.
Prashant Naik’s direction is not up to the mark. Dhananjay Dhumal’s music is functional. Aayush Shah’s camerawork is ordinary. Editing (by Prashant Naik and Rajesh Parmar) leaves something to be desired.
On the whole, Mahalakshmi Path – The Evolution is a dull fare.
