Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde on March 13 virtually performed the ground-breaking ceremony of the Bharat Ratna Lata Dinanath Mangeshkar International College of Music and Museum in Bombay. The state government had approved the establishment of the college and museum with the aim of having an internationally renowned music college in the country.
The college and museum will be built on an area of 7,000 sq. metres at Kalina, Santacruz East. It will house 18 classrooms, a museum, an exhibition hall, an auditorium, a hostel for 200 students and accommodation for teachers.
