Malaika Arora, who had moved MahaRERA last year against the developers of a high-rise building at Bandra in Bombay for delay in handing over possession of a four-bedroom-hall-kitchen flat and also sought interest from them for missing the 2017 schedule, recently settled the matter amicably with them. She has taken possession of the 4,000-sq.-foot flat.
Malaika filed a withdrawal application on 2nd November this year with the MahaRERA, stating that she and the promoters had amicably settled the dispute.
The actress had in February 2017 booked the Rs. 14.5 crore flat in the 81 Aureate high-rise project at Bandra, promoted by Pyramid Developers and Ultra Lifespaces. She had already paid around Rs. 13 crore. In her complaint in October 2020, she alleged that the promoters had committed to handing over possession of the flat on or before December 31, 2017, with a maximum grace period of six months.
