Malayalam film director Naranipuzha Shanavas passed away late on 23rd December in Aster Medcity hospital in Kochi due to a cardiogenic shock he suffered on 19th while shooting at Attapadi. He was rushed to KG Hospital in Coimbatore on 19th where he was on ventilator support till he was shifted to Kochi. He was declared brain dead on 23rd morning and breathed his last late in the night. He was in his 40s.
Shanavas’ first film was Karie but he came into the reckoning with Sufiyum Sujatayum, starring Jaya Surya, Aditi Rao Hydari and Dev Mohan, and produced by actor Vijay Babu.
