MANGESH KULKARNI NO MORE | 20 October, 2024

Marathi and Hindi film writer, lyricist and actor Mangesh Kulkarni passed away yesterday (19th October) around noon in Bombay. He was 76 and had not been keeping well. His heart had, of late, been functioning only 30%. At the time of his demise, he was at his sister’s house at Bhayandar. His last rites were performed at Bhayandar itself.

Mangesh Kulkarni had written films like Yess Boss, Awara Paagal Deewana, Ghulam-E-Musthafa, Dil Kya Kare and Raja Ko Rani Se Pyar Ho Gaya. He had started his writing career with the Marathi film Lapandav. He had written TV serial Lifeline, directed by Vijaya Mehta. He had also penned the title songs for popular Marathi television serials like Abhalmaya and Vadalvat. He used to also act in films and TV serials.

Mangesh was a bachelor.
