No sooner did actress Shagufta Ali reveal in a couple of interviews that she was very ill and had depleted all her savings and had also sold off almost all her assets to pay for her treatment than some producers swung into action. Television producer Manish Goswami, in whose serial, Parampara, Shagufta had played an important role, transferred money into her bank account. Producer Ashoke Pandit also provided financial aid to the ailing actress. Ashok Shekhar, son of late actor Chandrashekhar, did his bit too. All the three are now trying to mobilise more funds from others for the actress who has been suffering a great deal during the lockdown.
