Marathi film actor Bharat Ganeshpure was pleasantly surprised when he got his stolen cell phone from the police more than a month after it was stolen, on 8th September. Bharat had been targeted by the Tak Tak gang while he was stuck in his car on the Western Express Highway on 5th August. One man pretended to throw up outside his car which was waiting on the highway due to the traffic snarl. At the same time, another man knocked on his car window on the other side. When he turned his attention to the man who was knocking, the man who was acting picked up his mobile phone and fled.
The police tracked down the person with his phone near Meerut. Another actor, Prasad Khandekar, was similarly targeted by the same gang, which has a large network, but he was lucky because he did not roll down his car windows.
