A meeting of film and TV serial producers and directors was held today (20th September) in Gandhinagar with members of the Gujarat tourism ministry to discuss the draft Cinema Tourism Policy for the state of Gujarat. Suggestions for the policy were taken from the stakeholders, including for incentives and tax concessions on cost of production.
Those from the industry who participated were J.D. Majethia (Hats Off Productions), Shobha Sant (Jio), Parth Dholakia (Dharma Productions), Parth Shah (Endemolshine India), Vinod Bhanushali (Bhanushali Studios), Asit Modi (Neela Telefilms), Nitin Tej Ahuja (CEO, Producers’ Guild of India), Vandan Shah, Vaishal Shah, Aarti Patel, Atrish-Grishma (Bollywood Hub) and Suresh Amin (IFPTC). Managing director of the Gujarat Tourism Board, Jainu Dewan, and secretary Harish Shukla were in attendance. The policy will be announced soon.
