‘MINUS 31 THE NAGPUR FILES’ REVIEW | 21 July, 2023

Orangepixel Studios Pvt. Ltd.’s Minus 31 The Nagpur Files (A) is a murder mystery. A murder has happened, and a female cop is investigating the case.

Charulata Maitra and Pratik Moitro have written such an insipid story that nothing in it excites the viewers. The screenplay, penned by Charulata Maitra and Ankit Bhuptani, is as dull as dull can be. The thrill of a murder mystery is totally missing. Even the dialogues are weak.

Performances range from the bad to the average. Rucha Inamdar, Raghubir Yadav, Rajesh Sharma, Shivankit Singh Parihar, Jaya Bhattacharya, Santosh Juvekar, Ruturaj Wankhede and the others deliver performances which are not even worth discussing.

Pratik Moitro’s direction is terribly dull. Udayan Dharmadhikari’s music is weak. Lyrics are nothing to write home about. Sulabh Bangale’s camerawork is ordinary. Avichal Singh’s production designing leaves something to be desired. Abhishek Sharma’s editing is loose.

On the whole, Minus 31 The Nagpur Files is a debacle.

Released on 21-7-’23 at Gem (daily 2 shows) and other cinemas of Bombay thru Sunshine Studios. Publicity & opening: poor. …….Also released all over.
