The Bandra (Bombay) police on 26th May registered an FIR against nine Bollywood persons in connection with a complaint of rape and sexual assault filed earlier in the month by a model-actress. Krishan Kumar, Jackky Bhagnani, Anirban Blah (founder of talent management agency Kwan Entertainment) and Bollywood photographer Colston Julian are among the accused in the FIR. No arrests have been made so far.
The 26-year-old model approached the police on 10th May and her statement was recorded eight days later. She claimed to have been sexually exploited by the nine persons between 2012 and 2019. The FIR was registered under sections 376 (n) (repeated rape on the same woman) and 354 (molestation) of the Indian Penal Code. Investigations are in progress. Most of the accused have denied the allegations.
