Yesteryears’ child actor Sajid Khan breathed his last on 22nd December in Kerala. He died of cancer. He was 72. Sajid Khan had played the younger version of Sunil Dutt’s Birju in Mehboob Khan’s Mother India.
Sajid was adopted by Mehboob Khan although he was born to Wajid who worked as a stuntman in films. Much later, Sajid settled in the USA with his adoptive mother, Sardar Akhtar.
Sajid also acted in Mehboob Khan’s Son Of India. He had acted in Hollywood films and popular TV series Maya. Among the other Hindi films he was seen in are Dahshat, Do Number Ke Ameer, Savera, Daaku Aur Jawan and Mandir Masjid. He was last seen in British film Heat And Dust.
Sajid Khan is survived by a son, Sameer Khan.
