The inauguration was followed by a live chat with Adivi Sesh, conducted by Komal Nahta. In the chat, Adivi recalled how, years back, when he was still a college-going kid, he used to frequent the Kanakias’ Cinemax multiplex in Hyderabad because it was close to his house and also because he loved watching movies there. The Kanakias sold off the Cinemax chain to PVR, and have now re-entered the exhibition business after several years, this time with a new brand, Moviemax. Adivi added that with the reins of the exhibition business now in the hands of Rasesh Kanakia’s son, Ashish Kanakia, he was hopeful that it would supersede Cinemax as “youngsters bring about good change”.

Adivi Sesh shares a light moment with chat show host Komal Nahta.

The new multiplex, situated in the newly built AMR Planet Mall in Secunderabad, is luxurious and has several modern amenities.
