NARINDER SINGH WALIA NO MORE | 5 December, 2021

Veteran East Punjab distributor Sardar Narinder Singh Walia passed away last night (4th December) in Jalandhar following brain clot. He was 84 and is survived by two sons, Gurdeep and Randeep, and a daughter.

He had a fall in the bathroom on 3rd night following which he developed a brain clot. The doctors could not save him thereafter.

His cremation will be held on Tuesday, 7th December at 3 p.m. at the Model Town cremation ground in Jalandhar.

At one time, Narinder Singh Walia and his two partners in distribution — Vakil Singh and Dharam Paul Arora — were considered among the leading distributors of East Punjab circuit. Their distribution firm, Paramount Films, had distributed scores of films, many of which were big-banner and big star cast films. After the demise of the other two partners, the firm was not into buying new films. Narinder Walia was leading a retired life since almost 15 years.
