The wife of actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui was on January 23 booked for alleged trespass and voluntarily causing hurt on the complaint of his mother, according to a Bombay police officer. The FIR against the actor’s wife, Zainab, was registered on January 22 at the Versova (Bombay) police station.
The complainant, Mehrunisa Siddiqui, is Nawaz’s mother. She alleged that Zainab trespassed into her home and assaulted her after picking up an argument. A case under IPC sections for house trespass after preparation for hurt, voluntarily causing hurt and other offences has been registered against Zainab. No arrest was made. According to sources, the incident may be a fallout of a property dispute.
