NCB GETS 60 MORE DAYS FOR CRUISE DRUGS CASE CHARGESHEET | 1 April, 2022

A special NDPS court on March 31 granted the Narcotics Control Bureau’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) an additional 60 days to submit the chargesheet in the Cordelia cruise drugs case in which Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, is one of the accused. The investigating agency had moved the plea on March 28, seeking an extension of 90 days as the stipulated period of 180 days was coming to an end on March 31. Special judge V.V. Patil found that the report submitted by the prosecution justified the extension. Public prosecutor Advait M. Sethna told the court that chemical analysis reports of all the 17 samples of substances allegedly recovered during the investigations proved that they were narcotics.

Two of the 20 accused in the case are still in jail. They were put behind bars in the first week of October 2021.
