Film director Nishikant Kamat is critically ill in a hospital in Hyderabad. He had cirrhosis of the liver which is reported to have relapsed. Nishikant had won the National Award for the best feature film in Marathi, Dombivli Fast. He had directed Mumbai Meri Jaan, Force, Drishyam and Madaari in Hindi. He had also directed Marathi film Lai Bhaari. He is scheduled to start another film in Hindi shortly.
