Actress Nivedita Joshi-Saraf’s driver was assaulted in a case of road rage at Juhu Vile Parle Development junction in Bombay on the night of March 27. The Juhu police have sought details of the Nasik-registered sedan and have booked its owner. Police have also sought the CCTV footage of the route.
In her complaint, Nivedita said that the incident took place when she was being driven back home from Vile Parle in Bombay. She explained that around 10.30 p.m., her driver, Ajay Thakur, stopped the car at a red signal. That’s when the sedan hit the car from the rear. The sedan driver thrashed Thakur when he alighted to check the damage to his car. He then banged at the window of Nivedita’s car, asking her to roll it down. The driver of the sedan fled when Ajay Thakur threatened to call the police.
