NO PAID PREVIEWS FOR ‘BMCM’ | 9 April, 2024

There will be no paid previews of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan which will now release on 11th April. Eid-ul-Fitr falls on 11th April and hence the release of the film has been shifted from 10th to 11th.

In the expectation that Eid would fall on 10th, the producers of both the major releases of this week had announced that they would hit the screens on Wednesday, 10th April. As it became clear that Eid would be celebrated on 11th rather than on 10th, the producers of both the films announced that their films would hit the screens on 11th April but added that paid previews would be held on 10th from 6 p.m. onwards. However, the producers pf BMCM late last evening (8th April) decided to do away with the paid previews on 10th evening and night and instead release the film on 11th right from the morning shows to take advantage of the Eid holiday. Paid previews of Maidaan, however, be held on 10th from 6 p.m. onwards.

Clearly, the makers of BMCM are looking at the opening figure which, they feel, will be big. Ali Abbas Zafar, director and one of the producers of BMCM, told Information, “There are several shocking moments in my film. I can’t jeopardise them by releasing the film in the evening shows. I’d rather forgo the advantage of the shows on 10th after the moon sighting than let the world know the shocks and surprises in the film in the late evening and night shows.”
