Amitabh Bachchan’s name has been announced for this year’s Dadasaheb Phalke award for his immense contribution to cinema. The announcement of the award, which has come not a day too soon, was made by Information & Broadcasting minister Prakash Javadekar today (24th September).
The I & B minister’s tweet read: “The legend Amitabh Bachchan who entertained and inspired for 2 generations has been selected unanimously for #DadaSahebPhalke award. The entire country and international community is happy. My heartiest congratulations to him. @narendramodi @SrBachchan”
