Kolhapur district guardian minister Satej Patil yesterday (8th February) said that a grand memorial of Lata Mangeshkar would be built at the site of Jayprabha Studio if the late singer’s family permits that.
After her father, Dinanath Mangeshkar’s death, Lata moved to Kolhapur and lived in a rented house. In fact, she started her acting and singing career there. It is only later that she moved to Bombay to pursue a career in playback singing.
