Poonam Dhillon was elected president of the Cine and Television Artistes’ Association at the first meeting of the newly-elected executive committee held today (7th May) in Bombay. Padmini Kolhapure was elected senior vice president while Deepak Parashar was elected vice president. Upasna Singh, Hemant Pandey and Paintal were elected general secretary, senior joint secretary and joint secretary respectively. Puneet Issar was elected treasurer.
Earlier, at its general elections held on 1st May, Preeti Sapru and Mukesh Rishi’s Actors Care group romped home victorious, winning ten seats in the 15-member executive committee.
