BJP MP Manoj Kotak on August 6 introduced a private member bill in Parliament, proposing to ban abusive and violent content on over-the-top (OTT) platforms. The bill seeks to establish an OTT Platforms Regulatory Authority to ensure a complete ban on showing violent, abusive and vulgar web series, films or other similar content on OTT platforms in the country.
