Writer-producer-director Ram Govind breathed his last this morning (14th September) around 10 a.m. at his residence in Bombay. He was also a poet. He had made Tohfa Mohabbat Ka. He had written around 12 films like Aarop, Qaid, Mera Rakshak, Bindiya Chamkegi etc. He was one of the writers of B.R. Chopra’s Baghban and Chopra’s TV serial, Mahabharat Katha. Among the other television serials written by him are Vishnu Puran, Maa Shakti, Ramayan, Aap Beeti, Do Khiladi, Aurat, Main Dilli Hoon, Beta, Joshilay, Laddoo Singh Taxiwala and Ashanti Shantidas Ki. Ram Govind was the husband of lyricist Maya Govind.
He will be cremated at 5.30 p.m. today at Pawan Hans, Vile Parle, Bombay.
