Film producers met Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel, tourism minister Mulubhai Bera, home minister Harsh Sanghvi and industries minister Balwantsinh Rajput last week in Gandhinagar. An MoU was signed whereby the Gujarat government would grant producers subsidy for shooting their films in the state.
Chief secretary Rajkumar Gupta, chief principal secretary Kailashnathan and tourism secretary Hareet Shukla were also present, besides S.J. Haider. Among the producers present were Umesh Shukla, Vipul D. Shah, Pranjal Dhandhadia, Zafar Mehndi, Ketan Mehta, Jayantilal Gada and Deepa Mehta. They pledged to shoot their forthcoming films in Gujarat.
