Shreetara Cinevision Pvt. Ltd.’s Pyaar Hai Toh Hai (UA) is a love triangle.
Arman (Karan Hariharan) and Nimmo (Pannie Kashyap) live in the same neighbourhood and love one another but don’t express their love to each other. Vikas (Abhishek Duhan) also comes to stay there. Nimmo and Vikas fall in love with one another but the former soon realises that Vikas is a Casanova who has discarded her after having his share of fun. Arman is livid and prevails upon Vikas to marry Nimmo, thereby sacrificing his own love.
To her misfortune, Nimmo is physically and mentally tortured by Vikas who, one day, disappears after beating her up. Arman takes care of Nimmo in hospital and looks after her even thereafter. What happens then? Where is Vikas? Does he make amends for his actions? Does Arman express his love to Nimmo? Does Nimmo live happily ever after with Vikas or Arman?
Mukul Sharma has written a silly story which offers nothing new whatsoever. The screenplay, penned by Mukul Sharma and Divya Pande, is so predictable that it bores more than it entertains. Naturally, therefore, the viewers rarely, if ever, get involved or engaged in the drama. The duo’s dialogues are dull.
Karan Hariharan does not look like a hero but his acting is fair. Pannie Kashyap lacks the looks of a heroine; her performance is okay. Abhishek Duhan acts ably in the role of Vikas. Ven Harsh (as Arman’s friend, Sikandar) and Rohit Chaudhary (as Arman’s friend, Badri Pandey) lend decent support. Sonal Jha (as Nimmo’s mother) and Pratyaksh Panwar (as Nimmo’s little brother) are alright. Others are passable.
Pradeep R.K. Chaudhary’s direction is dull. Music (Anique and Bobby-Imran) and lyrics (Dheeraj Kumar, Kunwar Juneja and Shekhar Astitwa) are functional. Zui Vaidhya’s song picturisations are ordinary. Anique Music’s background music is average. Sunita Radia’s camerawork is quite nice. Abhijit Agnihotri’s production designing is appropriate. Vikash’s editing is loose.
On the whole, Pyaar Hai Toh Hai is a flop show all the way.
