Kannada film producer-director R. Chandru launched five pan-India films this week under the banner of RC Studios. The films are Father, POK, Dog, Sri Ramabana Charitra and Kabzaa 2: War Begins (sequel of Kabzaa). The five films will be made over the next two years. R. Chandru will direct the Kabzaa sequel and one more film while the remaining three will be only produced by him. Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah unveiled the posters of the films to mark the launching. Actors Upendra and Kichha Sudeepa were also present at the launching.
The total budget of the five projects is estimated to be Rs. 400 crore. Anand Pandit, Alankar Pandian (of Invenio Origin Company, Singapore), Manjunath Hegde and Seekal Ramachandra Gowda will be partners with Chandru in the films.
