Raj Kundra, husband of Shilpa Shetty, on June 11 filed an anticipatory bail plea in a sessions court in Bombay in an obscenity case being probed by the cyber crime cell. The police had, in November last year, registered an FIR against 14 OTT platforms and web portals for obscene content, based on a complaint filed by a retired customs officer. The case was lodged under sections 67 and 67A of IPC, section 292 of the Information Technology Act and rules 3 and 4 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Rules, 1987. Summons had been sent to the heads of these platforms and portals, besides some actors in the videos.
