Shilpa Shetty’s businessman-husband, Raj Kundra, models Sherlyn Chopra and Poonam Pandey, film writer-producer Meeta Jhunjhunwala and cameraman Raju Dubey joined forces to shoot obscene and pornographic videos in two five-star hotels in the suburbs of Bombay and circulated the content on OTT platforms for financial consideration, said a 450-page chargesheet filed by the Maharashtra cyber police on November 18. The police added that Kundra, director of Armsprime Media Ltd., was in 2019 involved in the production and distribution of pornographic videos.
The cyber police had in 2019 registered an offence under section 292 (sale of obscene material) and under the Information Technology Act against unknown persons after a customs and central excise officer lodged a complaint that some websites were uploading obscene content on the internet. The police submitted the chargesheet against the five persons mentioned above as also Banana Prime OTT director Suvajit Choudhary, and Kundra’s employee, Umesh Kamat. The police is on the lookout for a few models who also worked in porn films or web series but went underground soon after the case was registered.
