‘RAJKARAN GELA MISHIT…’ (MARATHI) REVIEW | 19 April, 2024

Bakuli Creations’ Rajkaran Gela Mishit … (Marathi; UA) is the story of a man who reluctantly enters politics. What happens to him once he is in the cesspool of politics?

R.R. Borade has written a predictable story which hardly entertains although it is designed as a comedy. Yogesh Shirsat and Sumeet Taur’s screenplay is interesting at places only. Several parts of the drama drag so much that they get boring. Yogesh Shirsat and Sumeet Taur’s dialogues are commonplace.

Makarand Anaspure does a good job as Nathuba. Prajakta Hanamghar is so-so as Dhondai. Vijay Deshmukh is okay as Aabarao. Raju Sonawane lends ordinary support as Babarao. Prakash Bhagwat passes muster in the role of Bhaiya. Others are ordinary.

Makarand Anaspure’s direction is average. Atul Dive’s music is quite nice. Lyrics are appealing. Suresh Deshmane’s camerawork is of a fine standard. Editing could’ve been sharper.

On the whole, Rajkaran Gela Mishit… is a flop show.
