RGTS Pictures’ Rescue (A) is a thriller.
Three medical students – Honey (Sreejita De), Ayesha (Megha Sharma) and Meera (Ishita Ganguly) – trap their estate broker, Jatin (Rahulganesh Thulsiram) in their rented apartment. They assault him, physically torture him and even rape him. They then lock him in a room. But Jatin manages to escape and he goes to the hospital.
His girlfriend, Shweta (Rani Agrawal), comes to the hospital. When Jatin’s friend, Sourabh (Abhinav Anand), telephones the hospital from the police station, he is informed that Jatin has run away. After some time, Shweta murders Jatin. When police officer Ashok Nayak (Brijendra Kala) interrogates the three medical students, they feign ignorance but the fact is that Shweta is hand-in-glove with the three girls. Incidentally, Ayesha and Meera are in a lesbian relationship while Honey is a drug addict.
Nayan Pachori and Abhijeet Kamble have written a ridiculous story which is not just senseless but also weird. The duo’s screenplay is rather weak and conveys nothing. There are no thrills for the viewers although the film is designed as a thriller. The duo’s dialogues are commonplace.
Rahulganesh Thulsiram does well in the role of Jatin. Megha Sharma has acted ably as Ayesha. Ishita Ganguly is good as Meera. Sreejita De does a fair job as Honey. Rani Agrawal lends ordinary support as Shweta. Brijendra Kala makes his mark as police inspector Ashok Nayak. Girish Thapar (as Harish), Abhinav Anand (as Sourabh) and Shubhangi Litoria (as Anushka Pandey) lend routine support.
Nayan Pachori’s direction is weak. Music (Vivarth Rangari, Ritesh Yadav and Rahulganesh Thulsiram) and lyrics (Abhishek Paliwal and Ritesh Yadav) are very ordinary. Rocky and Rahul Burman’s choreography is poor. Vivarth Rangari’s background music is routine. Vikrant Pratap Singh’s camerawork is dull. Eve Team’s action and stunts are routine. Nayan Pachori’s editing is loose.
On the whole, Rescue is a flop show all the way.
Released on 14-6-’19 at Movie Star (daily 1 show) and other cinemas of Bombay thru Mates Entertainment. Publicity & opening: weak. …….Also released all over. Opening was dull everywhere.
