Believe it or not but there’s a restaurant in Delhi’s Khan Market, which goes by the name of Saleem-Javed. It would be difficult to hazard a guess whether the restaurant got its name from two brothers with the names Saleem and Javed or was named so because of the super-duper-hit writing jodi of Bollywood of the 1970s and 1980s, Salim-Javed. Either way, the Hindi film industry in general and writers Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar in particular need to feel elated at this unique style of saluting talent.
