The special NDPS court in Bombay today (11th September) did not grant Rhea Chakraborty and her brother, Showik, bail in the drugs case. The bail application was moved yesterday but the court passed its order this morning. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) claimed that Rhea was clearly involved in financing activities related to illegal trafficking of drugs. Rhea told the court that she was forced to say what was being attributed to her, by the NCB during interrogation.
Rhea was arrested by the NCB on 8th September while Showik was arrested last week in the drugs case related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death investigation. Samuel Miranda (Sushant’s house manager), Dipesh Sawant (the actor’s house help), and drug dealers Zaid Vilatra and Abdel Basit Parihar had also moved similar bail applications.
