Rhea Chakraborty’s brother, Showik, and Sushant Singh Rajput’s house manager, Samuel Miranda, were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau yesterday (4th September) in a drugs case related to the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The two were arrested under the Narcotic Drugs And Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The NCB is probing allegations of drug abuse in the death case. Earlier yesterday, the NCB conducted searches in the houses of Showik and Miranda. The two were produced in court today morning. The court granted the NCB five days’ custody of the two, till September 9. Kaizen Ebrahim, also apprehended by the NCB on 4th, was granted bail by the Esplanade court after he was sent to 14 days’ judicial custody earlier today. Sushant’s house help, Dipesh Sawant, was arrested today (6th September). He will be produced in the court tomorrow (6th September).
Earlier, the NCB arrested two drug peddlers, named Zaid Vilatra and Abdel Basit Parihar, operating in Bombay. Sushant was found dead in his house on 14th June. The CBI was handed over the investigation by the Supreme Court last month. Rhea is the main accused in the death case of the 34-year-old actor. The case is being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on money laundering charges, and the NCB.
