Reliance Industries is reportedly in the process of finalising a cash-and-stock deal to buy Walt Disney’s India operations. Disney may sell a controlling stake in the Disney Star business valued at around $10 billion by the Hollywood giant. Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries views the company’s India arm valuation at $7-8 billion.
Under the proposed deal, Disney will likely continue to hold on to a minority stake in the Indian company after the deal is completed.
