S.I.T. MAY END PROBE INTO ‘EXTORTION’ CHARGES IN ARYAN KHAN ARREST CASE | 23 December, 2021

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Bombay police probing allegations of extortion in the arrest of Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, in a drugs case, is likely to close it as the actor’s manager, Pooja Dadlani, is yet to appear before it for giving her statement. It was alleged that Pooja had handed over the extortion money. She did not appear before the SIT when she was summoned, citing health reasons. A second summons has also been issued. In case she does not appear now also, the SIT is likely to fold the case as there is no official complaint of extortion.

Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in October in a drugs on cruise case. He was released from jail after more than 25 days. Kiran Gosavi, one of the witnesses in the case, was arrested by the Pune police in October in connection with a cheating case. Gosavi’s bodyguard, Prabhakar Sail, had submitted a complaint to the MRA Marg police in Bombay, alleging that Gosavi had demanded money for Aryan’s release. Another witness claimed that Gosavi and others had taken Rs. 50 lakh from Dadlani but had returned the money.
