S. Thanu (from Madras) was unanimously elected president of the Film Federation of India at the first meeting of its executive committee held on 28th December. Firdausul Hasan, C. Kalyan, T.P. Aggarwal, L. Suresh, Nitin N. Datar, N.M. Suresh, Rajendar Singh, G.P. Vijaya Kumar and Bajrang Lal Agarwal were elected vice presidents. Ravi Kottarakara and Hirachand Dand were elected hon. general secretaries, and Sangram Shirke, hon. treasurer. Supran Sen is the Secretary General.
The committee also set up a sub-group under the chairmanship of past president Firdausul Hasan, for conducting Events/Film Festivals.
