Producer Sachin Joshi was recently arrested along with the promoters of the Omkar real estate group by the Enforcement Directorate, and his land at Viram in Pune, attached in a money-laundering case involving The Omkar group. While Babulal Varma and Kamal Kishor Gupta of the Omkar group are in jail, Sachin Joshi is out on conditional bail.
It is said that out of the total Rs. 410 crore laundered by the Omkar group, Rs. 80 crore was laundered through Sachin Joshi and his Viiking group of companies under the guise of services and investment.
