The Hyderabad police picked up actor-producer-businessman Sachin Joshi from Bombay international airport on 12th October soon after he landed from Dubai. He was taken to Bahadurpura police station in Hyderabad, where he is one among four booked in a case registered in March this year after 80 alleged boxes of Goa Gutka worth lakhs of rupees were seized from a godown.
Sachin is chairman of JMJ group, engaged in perfumes, packaging and construction. Goa Gutka used to be a JMJ brand. Immigration officials at Bombay airport alerted Hyderabad police about his arrival as a lookout circular had been issued against him. The Bahadurpura police let him go after he was served with a Code of Criminal Procedure notice and asked to appear for questioning later. None of the four persons has been arrested.
